I am a Philadelphia-based writer, editor, and instructor with 20 years of experience writing features, articles, profiles, op-eds, research summaries, and reports for a wide range of publications and clients.
My journalism has appeared in The Oxford American, The Atlantic, Al Jazeera America, Pacific Standard, Psychology Today, The Philadelphia Citizen, Institutional Investor, Responsible Investor, and elsewhere.
I work with universities, brands, and mission-driven organizations to connect their people’s ideas to wider audiences. Current and past clients include Northwestern University’s Kellogg Insight, Columbia Business Magazine, Berkeley Haas Magazine, Yale School of Management’s Yale Insights, impact investing nonprofit ImpactAssets, and higher-education marketing agency Circa Interactive. At Circa, I worked closely with faculty across disciples to shape their research and ideas into compelling articles and op-eds, which I successfully pitched to major publications.
I hold an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from Goucher College, and I teach a first-year writing course for visual art students at Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt). Previously, I taught journalism at Manhattanville College in New York.
Beyond client work, I’ve enjoyed translating short stories by little-known female Argentinian writers. You can read some of these translations here.
My Writing
Climate Solutions
I've worked with clients to translate technical information about climate-tech solutions into engaging and actionable articles. I’ve done much of this work with Columbia Business School’s Climate Knowledge Initiative, which convenes regular workshops and publishes supporting materials to equip business leaders ready to rapidly decarbonize.

Sustainable Investing
I wrote a regular column for Institutional Investor magazine called “Green Shoots,” which covered trends in ESG, sustainable investing, and environmental finance. I’ve also interviewed academic researchers who’ve published on these topics to produce accessible, widely shareable articles about their findings.

Economic Justice
Much of my long-form magazine journalism has explored growing economic inequality, and the economic and social experimentation that points to solutions.
